How is the region performing?
There was a regional uptick in deed transactions during 2020 and 2021, when the market tightened during the peak of COVID. While deed transactions increased for Lackawanna County for the first time since 2021, Luzerne County saw a decline for the fourth consecutive year. From 2024 to 2025, deed transactions in Wayne County decreased by 2.9 percent but increased by 0.2 percent in Wyoming County.
