This indicator details the number of people employed in the arts and entertainment industries in Lackawanna, Luzerne, and Wayne Counties.
Why is it important?
A region that offers various arts, entertainment, culture, sports, and recreational activities is socially and economically vibrant. These activities encourage tourism and contribute to the residents’ attractive quality of life.
How is the region performing?
The region has 19 different types of arts, entertainment, and recreation venues, covering the spectrum of activities for all types of interests. Fitness and recreational sports centers, along with golf courses and country clubs, are particularly common.
