Description of Indicator
This indicator looks at the student-teacher ratio for each school district in the region.
Why is it important?
Student-teacher ratios are important because they reveal a school’s capacity to meet the needs of its students. A large ratio could mean that there are not enough teachers to adequately disperse their attention among the needs of the students.
How is the region performing?
Student teacher ratios range from 11.5 to 15.9 (by county average). The ratios range from 10.8 to 18.4.
