This indicator measures the number of eviction filings by determination in the four counties and the Commonwealth.
Why is it important?
The number of eviction determinations can enhance awareness of housing stability and vulnerability. Understanding this indicator can clarify eviction challenges, such as homelessness, educational disparities, unemployment, and poor health.
How is the region performing?
In 2024, eviction filing determinations in favor of plaintiffs (property owners) increased for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties. Determinations in favor of plaintiffs across the Commonwealth remain below the 2015 number.
