This indicator measures several factors regarding air and freight travel at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. It uses data from the Airport and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Not all carriers have reported their data.

How is the region performing?

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport experienced a 9.8 percent increase in the number of passengers from 2024 to 2025, which is 12.7 percent lower than record highs from 2019. From 2024 to 2025, the percentages of on-time departures and arrivals increased by seven percent and 13.0 percent, respectively. Freight transport increased by 57.9 percent during the same period.
