This indicator examines exports by dollar volume and industry for the Scranton-Wilkes-Barre Metropolitan Area. Data is collected from the International Trade Commission.

Exporting goods is a vital component of local economies. Export data is important to businesses in planning their sales strategies and to succeed in today’s global marketplace.
How is the region performing?
Regional exports have been increasing since 2015 (except for the 2020 COVID year when many businesses were not operational and supply chains were impaired). There was significant growth from 2021 to 2022 and chemical manufacturing led the way.
