The sale and possession of illegal drugs is highly indicative of other societal problems that must be addressed. Understanding community trends pertaining to drug crimes helps to inform individuals who may be able to stop or curb such activity. Drug crimes may induce other crimes as well.
How is the region performing?
Drug abuse offenses have declined in each county and the state since 2019. There have been some fluctuations over the years, but the number of drug abuse offenses has not surpassed those reported in 2019, reflecting a general downward trend. Variances are to be expected and not necessarily a reversal of a trend.
