How is the region performing?
The shares of female single-parent households in Lackawanna, Luzerne, and Wayne Counties increased from 2022 to 2023, while Pennsylvania’s share remained stable. The shares of male single-parent households remained steady for Wayne County and the Commonwealth. In contrast, the share in Lackawanna County experienced a slight increase, and the share in Luzerne County experienced a slight decrease.
